The Loch Shiel Spring Festival is a membership organisation dependent on the support of its members who pay an annual subscription of £10. In return, they receive direct mailings with concert details and booking forms, and are entitled to preferential seating for pre-booked tickets. Should you wish to join the organisation, click here to join on-line.
The Festival is organised by a partnership of local music groups: - Kilmallie Singers
- Lochaber Community Wind Band
- Lochaber Music School
– working closely with other groups such as Feis na Gael Lochaber and Lochaber Showstoppers. The overall idea is for the local music scene to benefit from an annual injection of inspiration and motivation provided by performances of a national standard on their own dramatically beautiful doorstep. However, the driving artistic force behind the festival is its Artistic Director – Glasgow-based violinist Charles Mutter – whose creativity and knowledge of classical and contemporary repertoire ensure exciting, innovative programmes of an exceptionally high standard. Current committee members are: Chairman: Hege Hernæs Sectretary: Frances Whyte Treasurer: Ian Strachan Ordinary members: Gordon Stewart, John Dove, Hazel Whitehead
