"Red Byrd I: Joyfull and Solemn Musick"

Music from the fifteenth to the twenty-first centuries
performed by the brilliantly eclectic vocal duo Red Byrd.

Select Airs, Dialogues, Lamentations and a Plough Song.
Composers include John Blow, Howard Skempton,
Henry Purcell, Gavin Bryars, Pelham Humfrey and Barry Guy.

"Bach and Red Byrd II: Missa Secreta"
Kinlochmoidart House by kind permission of Nino Stewart, 2.30 pm

William Byrd's Masses are now renowned for their beauty,
but under Elizabeth I they would only be heard behind
closed and guarded doors...

Preluded by Bach's cello suite no. 5.

Jill Gosney of Ardshealach Lodge will put on buffet lunch at £12.00
before the concert, at 12.30.
After the concert, there will be a collection for "Help for Heroes".

Bruckner's Symphony no. 7, so skilfully arranged for 9 players
by Stein, Eisler, and Rankl in 1921 that you'll wonder why
the Vienna Phil was ever invented!
